why is korra so annoying in season 2

The Legend of Korra season 2 is one of the most polarizing parts of the entire Avatar mythos, due largely to the tragic moment when Korra loses her connection to her past Avatar lives. Book 2 also pulls a bit of a Deus Ex in the form of Giant Korra. 2. For the first half of this season, Korra made the most annoying (albeit in character) decisions, accusations, and statements possible. So now without any delay, let’s talk about the fall of a great kids network. Korra’s biggest issue in the first season was that extremist Amon used bloodbending to take away her earth, fire, and waterbending abilities. It annoys me so much because Korra started out with so much potential with the main protagonist, antogonist, music and art direction. I also dislike Mako. Unless he's cheating on her again, which wouldn't surprise me in the least. I guess Mako "broke up" with Asami off screen cause we never actually saw him do it. Last season, last Book, ended with Korra crying in a wheelchair. It makes things regress. The relationship of Korra with Asami isn't great and strong. So that’s why for this post I will explain these five facts in further detail to why I came to this conclusion about Nickelodeon. The plot of each season is different from that of the consecutive season. I hate annoying characters like Bolin and Varrick as usual. It's scary. I’ve heard some defence for this sudden pairing from fans. No chemistry, just girls doing girl things together. Book/Season 2: Well now, Korra was being EXTREMELY b*tchy this season. I suspect because THE LEGEND OF KORRA’s license was up, and Viacom may have decided CBS All Access was a better place for it than Netflix. It's why I love the last season so much. They were very good, but 2 was the high point for me. Specifically Eska and Desna, Korra's cousins. Season 2 brought back magic to the series. It wasn't well developed in the series. I'm sick of the stereotype that all twins are exactly the same, or the exact opposite. But “tension between Benders and non-Benders” doesn’t need to be tied to a singular antagonist the way imperialism does, so I don’t get why season 2 didn’t build off of the tensions introduced in season 2, with a new demagogue promising the muggles that they could end Bender oppression. The first couple of episodes are pretty forgettable, but the Avatar Wan stuff was amazing. Season 2 was by far the worst, but 3 & 4 weren't much better. Derailed BOTH characters in the process. Don't get me wrong, the girl is hilarious, but they guy needs a different personality than his sister. Season 3 and 4 are sort of a midway between the style of Season 1 and 2. Compared to the previous Avatar Aang, she is a much more headstrong character. They’ve argued that Korrasami was hinted at in the beginning of Book 4 while Korra was recuperating from her scars in the previous season. This one isn't quite as bad, since it relies on Korra tapping into a pre-existing well of spiritual power, but it still could have been built-up better, and after the Deus Ex Machina used last season, it begins to show a rather troubling trend. Its first cartoon shows were Doug, Rugrats, and The Ren & Stimpy Show which debuted in 1991. If you didn't see it, it was because you weren't paying attention. There was a lot going on, so best to tackle this character by character: Korra: Fuck you, Korra. Byrne, Seychelle Gabriel. In the final battle against Unalaq and Vaatu, the great light spirit Raava is torn out of Korra and brutally beaten into oblivion. We have no hints that Korra likes Asami in season one, two, and three. So when it came time for Korra and Asami to hook up, it didn’t do either of them any favours. Season 2 might be the weakest season of The Legend of Korra, but it's still great fun to watch. The Legend of Korra, Book 2: Spirits had some big shoes to fill. Also Varrick. I tried listening to this video, but it was so annoying I couldn't get 20 minutes. Last Friday, I wrote a short post about how I was disappointed with the first season of The Legend of Korra. Some of the antagonists in this season are weak characters to me. It is probable that Korra may reconnect with her past lives as apart of the new season story arc but I doubt it. What was the point in that? His relationship with Korra was also really cringy. That is when it comes to reviving the ability to bend. Season 2 is my favorite. And she was Mako's girlfriend at the start. 1st of all they were teasing that Korra Asami relationship for like 2 seasons. Characters. Why is it that we loved Aang and find Korra so annoying? This season is just fine. Against my better judgement I decided to watch the premier of Avatar The Legend of Korra Book 3. Come season 2, she is downright nasty to everyone and receives very little pushback for it (That said, season 3 and season 4 did show better characterization.). In season 2 they played with it. There is nowhere good for the third season to go unless they retcon a ton of stuff and go in completely different directions. Nickelodeon’s existence launched in 1977. The reason why Korra isn't well liked is probably because of the regression of her character in season 2. I could still find some likable elements with the Zaheer arc, but ultimately it never reached the level of Season 1. However, in season 3, there's growth. This season, this series, ends with her hand in hand with Asami, going on walkabout in the Spirit World. [Aang’s children] Tenzin, Bumi, and Kya’s interactions were the best part of season 2, as were [Toph’s daughter] Lin’s in Season 3. Other figures - such as Lin Beifong - stop being intelligent characters in their own right, and instead mindless slaves to a simple plot. Season 1 was so drab compared with Last Airbender. Good Cartoons have Gone Sour. Besides that, they weren't so involved with Korra and "Team Avatar" like Bolin and Mako were. It’s pretty simple actually, it all has to do with the age of our lead. Each season comes up with a different obstacle for the Avatar Korra to overcome. The Legend of Korra was planned 2 b 26 episodes but I hear if it's successful like the original and has a lot of good ratings it's possible they will make more episodes and maybe even a 3rd season! With Janet Varney, David Faustino, P.J. The second problem is that Korra becomes especially annoying in this season. Season 2 was a showcase of all of the bad attributes of Season 1 with none of it's high points save 2 episodes which were expositional background, not current story development. II. But all that goes by the wayside by the end of the 1st season till the end of show. 1st of all they were teasing that Korra Asami relationship for like 2 seasons. She was headstrong in season 1, but now simply acts stupid - she only listens to people who are clearly trying to manipulate her. There was more to explore there– Bumi’s need to prove himself, Lin’s need for order, Tenzin feeling the weight of Aang’s legacy, Kya trying to get away from all of it. I'm not saying it's not gonna get better in season 2, but by the end of season 1 in A:TLA, the three members of Team Avatar were lovable and developed to some extent. Their motivations are never really quite clear, they are emotionless (intentionally), and you are given pretty much no reason to care about them. Well, not really, but oh my god how annoying can you be. Also, added a poll if anyone is interested in assigning a numeric value to the first season of Korra. With Rey, it was mostly how the sequels handled her, and even then her actions weren't too annoying with her, but in the story's settings, it kinda magnified other story problems. But 2 do that they would have 2 think of another plot and make the fight between Korra and Amon longer. They both loose 5 points for that cotton candy stunt + I hate that the twins are so similar. I don’t know why (actually, I do know why, and I’ll get into that), but some people really hate The Legend of Korra. Aang was at possibly the most fun and interesting stage in his life, he had only reached his teens so he had none of the problems that are associated with that stage in their lives and that’s where Korra comes in. In season 2 they played with it. Overall, I find Korra to be a annoying main character that has no development arc and is full of teen angst and rage to a point where I couldn't abide. Something that season 2 proves the writers are either unwilling or unable to do. Korra finally seems to get wiser and take her time even if she's tempted to resolve things quickly. When Toph joined in Season 2, she got developed well and fast. 1. And I mean, more b*tchy than usual. SO unbelievably forced and outta nowhere in season 1 and toxic and annoying to sit through in season 2. Korra just stuck with the headstrong personality for way too long. He may have just been confused during his horrid love life but he was still a jerk at times to Korra and Bolin. The character of Avatar Korra is fascinating and amazing. In season 1, we would think she learns her lesson, but she didn't. Toph was like this especially but everyone loves her a lot, like more than any Avatar character ever. So the first half first. If you didn't see it, it was because you weren't paying attention. It was FOR THE … Korra & Mako are a gross couple now, that do annoying couple things in front of friends, and that is the worst! Directed by Colin Heck. Most importantly,Aang is completely gone as well as the other avatars. Final update: Making of a Legend clips on page 28. I tried listening to this video, but it was so annoying I couldn't get 20 minutes. Korra struggles to find a deeper connection with the Spirit World as she and the gang attend a Southern Water Tribe festival. Korra is so boring and helpless. I was so bored of the show that I didn’t bother watching the last 2 episodes. She is not afraid to go on the offensive. Give us some hope about the past lives because they are so important to the Avatar character. While it hasn’t been confirmed why, there are theories on the internet that try to explain why Katara couldn’t use her bloodbending to bring it back. I get that it's a show but they are always annoying. I don't hate them but sometimes they were so obnoxious, annoying, and acted like jerks.
